<p>The grant  support is via the Learning and Skills Council, as part of their Director  Development program. It is available to all SME business owners and senior  decision markers within any business sector with between 5 and 249 employees,  being an SME as defined by Business Link West Midlands. <p>The grant  consists of a £500 investment from the delegate, which then releases £1,000  funding, i.e. creating a £1,500 budget. This will then be topped up by a  further £240 (unless you are a tenant of the Birmingham Science Park) to create  a total fund of £1,740. The funding process is based on the delegate company  paying The Marketing Exchange the full fee up-front, then immediately claiming  back the £1,000 element (paid within 30 days) from Business Link West Midlands. </p>

<p>I’d like to thank you on behalf of myself at the Light House Media Centre, Martin Sumner of Mediamaker at Belmont Arts Centre in Shrewsbury, Andrew Mason from Switch-On Shropshire, and Shropshire Chamber &#038; Business Link’s ICT team, for your superb e-marketing seminars at both Ludlow Assembly Hall and Whitchurch Civic Centre, during March 2005.</p>
<p>Martin Sumner said: “What Carl had to say had a real impact on me and the delegates at the seminar. Many of them said Carl’s presentation style was refreshing and delivered in such an inspiring and simple way that it really captured their imagination to what’s possible on-line.”</p>
<p>Andrew Mason said: “With the web maturing quickly we all need a mix of skills and expertise to get us to the top of the search engines and these two e-marketing seminars have been a great start.”</p>
<p>For me, it’s great to see someone present on a subject that they have such a exciting passion for, and when it’s delivered with the enthusiasm and authority of someone who clearly knows their subject matter, in depth, it makes it all the more worthwhile and valuable.</p>

<p>Your strategic development and input in to the whole concept of the competition has been, personally, greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>The feedback from the seminar delegates, regarding your presentations on ‘Innovative Marketing’ and ‘Simple Ways to Create Powerful Marketing’, has been excellent and very inspirational.</p>
<p>Pete Stevens said your involvement as our marketing expert on the panel of competition judges, along with your strategic marketing coaching and facilitation of the SME business owners, when helping them prepare for the investor panels, made a tremendous contribution to the overall success of the Foresight competition.</p>
<p>There should be some great PR from last week’s award ceremony, as several of the projects from the competition are now moving towards venture investment.</p>
<p>If any more Advantage West Midlands initiatives come along, I’d certainly be more than happy to engage your expertise and involvement, yet again.</p>
